What distinguishes the true "elite" is their complete lack of self-importance, i.e., they are special because they are *perfectly ordinary*...

The meek shall inherit the Earth.Jasunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06645623536130682696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20312680.post-40559992023261029162009-01-08T03:27:00.000-08:002009-01-08T03:27:00.000-08:00It is quite clear that there is a kind of human wh...It is quite clear that there is a kind of human who is a natural aristocrat or a natural elite, and I have always known I am one, but my knowlege of this about myself has always been accompanied by a feeling of great humility because this is a GIFT I have been given, a kind of state-of-grace, from the bountiful Universe. It is also an awesome responsibility, both to the Universe and to my fellow man...the responsiblity to develop my awareness and refine myself so that the species may prosper (I don;t mean that the state of the species depends upon my development, just that the more people who heed the call toward awareness and refinement, the better off humanity as a whole is, and that I would be neglegent if I did not develop my natural inclination). The "system" the "Matrix", though, doesn't like this about me and has done everything it can to make me ashamed of my gift and also to make sure my gift came to nothing, something I have resisted to the best of my ability given my circumstances. Until recently, my only resource for developing my talent toward higher awareness has been through books, and now I have the internet where I can "converse" with others of my kind. Comfortable with it or not, we do form a kind of separate "tribe", not of time or place, but of awareness, and I thank you, aeolus, for saying that its OK for me to admit to myself that I am different in that sort of way. I am deeply grateful to the Universe for giving me this gift and must make sure I do not squander it. I also think it is important (at least for me) to retain a feeling of humilty because if not, then I become no better than those arrogant pseudo-elites that have so damaged the world.

As an aside, as practice in surrealism, I look for everyday examples of surrealism that arent' recognized as such and rename them. Thus my "cat" becomes a "razor bunny".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20312680.post-64863063028698850272009-01-05T22:33:00.000-08:002009-01-05T22:33:00.000-08:00"with your expression that most of humanity, ..."with your expression that most of humanity, being basically unconscious, is “expendable” (episode 17) or is otherwise relatively unimportant for those of us, the new elite, who are aware."

we are all expendable, but some more than others. However, i would never have used the term unimportant, even relatively, seeing as this is a meaningless expression without qualification, i.e., (un)important to who, or what?

I'd need the exact quote to be able to explain what I meant, but it would pertain to the RELATIVE value of the experiences being gathered. "An unexamined life is not worth living" said Socrates; this may not have been a subjective statement but an energetic fact: without awareness acts become meaningless, because they are not imbued with our attention, they have no power (energy). Without this attention, our acts become mechanical and soulless, hence devoid of novelty, mere repetition of previous acts and thoughts (and not just our own). They may be of no value to the intelligence system that is the Universe, because they do not provide new data. hence these lives are "expendable." (Rather than "reincarnate" - much less attain freedom - they would become "ghosts," astral fragments.)

As you point out, all is consciousness, so this doesn't apply to individuals so much as to individual thoughts and acts. Even for the aware, much of our lives is devoid of meaning, unless we eventually attain heightened awareness (memory of the other self or left side) and can "reclaim" (transform) those memories by vivifying them with our new (impersonal-archetypal) awareness. And even then, there may be large portions of our memories that simply aren't worth the trouble.

Once erased, personal history becomes worthless to sorcerers, I think, because it is mostly anchored in the personal self, family patterns, etc (i.e., mechanical, reactive behavior). It's only those elements which can be isolated and used as elements in the sorcerer's archetypal story, the mythic narrative of the species (a personal myth, if that's not an oxymoron) which have value in eternity. Since in the end we are no more than hunter-gatherers of these memories, the same ruthlessness can be applied to individual "souls" who fail to surrender their personal history to the Myth. They are erased along with the history, because their lives did not bring sufficient novelty to the system.

The eschaton - judgment day - is the singularity, the end of novelty, when all the possible life experiences of humanity have been exhausted, and it is time to tally up and move on to the next phase of the alchemy.

Needless to say, there is no room for self-importance, much less elitism, in such a view, since we are all, to a man & woman, no more than raw matter (unrefined consciousness) being processed by a vast, intergalactic system - lost here in the Vale of Soul-Making.

But there is a need for discrimination, since this is the very essence of the process. Lead is not gold, but it is on its way to becoming so.Jasunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06645623536130682696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20312680.post-21347408045736374462009-01-05T18:51:00.000-08:002009-01-05T18:51:00.000-08:00Thanks for posting my podcast comment, Aeolus. The aware are still processing their information in terms of the current psychical conditioning system. Their understanding of the categories gives them dominance over their less educated brethren. This is not a habit that will be easily broken, so it is easy to assert that that aware folk are more responsible for the fucked-up nature of appearances than are the ‘un-aware’ folk.

From the podcast comment...

“I just am convinced that we need to be very clear and to really ponder these things, lest we become Masonic sorcerers ourselves, powerful but with the same sense of superiority and the same disdain for all of life.”

A more useful synthesis will call the self-abnegationists on their twisting of truth in the same way that it examines orthodoxy to expose its false vesting of authority.

Aeulus wrote…
The function of all myth-makers, poets, bards, story-tellers and artists is the same: to render—in code—the awareness necessary for myths to be realized on a physical plane in the hearts, minds, and acts of humanity.

The physical plane is key.Sounderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15405263399824958614noreply@blogger.com
