"Life itself seems to be one long initiation ritual if we pay attention." Aeolus

Interesting observation there, Aeolus.

Questions that spring to mind.

1) Initiation into WHAT?
2) Is everybody being initiated into the same THING?

It seems to me that everybodies life initiation ritual is unique, as no two peoples life experiences are identical.

3) Is the earth an incubator for the development / production of souls ?

Hi William

I would say that we are all being initiated into exactly the same thing - gnosis - but that the initiation ritual (life process) is tailored to fit the individual and so varies in ways both subtle and extreme.

Perhaps the primary factor is how closely we pay attention to the life process and so discern the opportunities for initiation: the less we do so, the more "traumatic" or "hands-on" the ordeal becomes.

I am thinking now, for example, of satanic ritual abuse and the ways in which, like alien abductions, such traumatic encounters "prime" the psyche for gnosis further on down the line.

Interesting area for future show perhaps?

And yes I'd say "soul" is the end product of such a process - meaning that it's by no means guaranteed that our life experiences have any continuity beyond the physical realm - only if we are able to transmute them into the impersonal and archetypal realms - i.e., offer them up as raw matter for the refining fire of Spirit.

Armageddon / End Times as a collective initiation ritual for the planet because we have avoided doing so individually?

Coincidentally, something that I had been pondering prior to your latest program is the fact that both our entrance and exit from the physical - birth and death, are traumatic. Seems to be designed that way for a purpose.

"only if we are able to transmute them into the impersonal and archetypal realms - i.e., offer them up as raw matter for the refining fire of Spirit."

Aeolus, I don't understand what this means. Perhaps you can eloborate on this either on this blog or another show.

Aeolus, "Something" seems to have gone to an awful lot of trouble "tailoring" the initiation ritual to fit the individual.

It strikes me as improbable that that "Something" would go to all that trouble and then discard an individual that had begun but not yet completed the process of "gnosis".

And besides, surely gnosis is a never ending process.

But perhaps this is wishfull thinking on my part.

I'd say there's no need to posit a "something" as separate from the individual's psyche, which does the "tailoring" by filtering out all the parts of the environment which don't precisely "match" his or her unintegrated, disowned aspects and thereby serve as "keys" or "button-pushers" by which the initiation process occurs.

So far as "something" (the Universe) caring for the individuals, i don't think it does, only for the experiences that we as individuals gather. The "Eagle's Gift" as such (freedom) is when we on the one hand bring cohesion and integrity to our experiences and forge a "myth" (a soul-merkaba) out of them, and on the other hand (same process seen from different angle), offer up those experiences (or a perfect copy of them) by surrendering our attachment to/identification with them(erasing personal history) and so allowing them to be incorporated into the Myth.

All life-experiences are "saved" and hence eternal; only rarely do they attain coherence as an individual sequence (package) of information, and so live on as "individuals" past the death of the physical vehicle.

Manson is somewhat of a joke in my family due to the fact that he's a distant relative. When one particular family member on this side gets mad his eyes tend to pop out of his head and we call him Manson-eyes and joke that we better be careful or he'll turn into Manson.

Manson adopted the surname of his step-father and I think it subtlety sums him up in a nutshell. The surname Man-son describes him perfectly since he was a product of mind control, a product man's manipulation, so calling him a son of man seems appropriate.

I just went to Adam Gorightly's site and saw Crowley's drawing. I then went and Googled up a larger version of it. My question is: does anyone else see a airplane and an atomic bomb explosion in the drawing? From the chin area up, the figure's mouth and nose form the body and tail of the plane, the eyes are the initial blast ring, and the forehead is the mushroom cloud, with the highlight on the left side of its forehead as the sun.
